Lisa has been part of Gingerbread House for many years - as an aunt, then a mother, and now as a teacher.

What Deep loves most about the childcare field is that not only do teachers get to teach children new things every day, but teachers also learn from the children.

Our Teachers

For the past forty years, Gingerbread House has been fortunate enough to have wonderful, caring, and highly educated teachers as part of our children's preschool experience. And the tradition continues ...

Lisa Anderson
Miss Lisa completed her training in ECE (early childhood education) in 1986. She then returned to school to complete both the infant/toddler and Special Needs components. She has worked in a variety of settings over the years ... emergency drop-in, toddlers, integrated preschool, and infant care.
In 2005, she joined Gingerbread House Preschool as a parent, and in February of 2009 became one of the teachers. She loves creating an environment where children are able to express themselves through play and art. She loves watching them form friendships and develop new skills.
When not teaching, Miss Lisa is busy with her two children ... at soccer, baseball, ballet, swimming, or just hanging around a playground. When she has a moment to herself, she enjoys puzzles, music, and spending time with friends and family.

Miss Deep
Miss Deep has loved to work with children since she can remember. She has grown up with younger siblings who she has loved to teach and spend time with. What she loves most about the childcare field is that not only do teachers get to teach children new things every day, but teachers also learn from the children. Miss Deep completed her ECE training at Surrey College in September 2010. Having recently moved to Richmond, she has been introduced to the concept of PPP and been given the great opportunity to work at Gingerbread House as the Assistant teacher.
